#TeamOS on 'The Attack'!

Orange Soccer continued its commitment to powering the beautiful game this weekend - this time at the highly successful and enjoyable Lytham Juniors tournament. From referees to our very own cup final hero ‘Robbo’, their was a strong OS presence across the weekend.

Both the OS Lytham and Preston academies were well represented throughout the two days for a number of different clubs and club partners, including Lytham Juniors, Kirkham Juniors, ST. Annes, YMCA, Spirit of Youth, Lancashire Attack JFC, Cadley, Ribbleton, BJFF and more. It was great to see the combination of academy talent and skill combined with the essentials; hard work and team spirit. Most importantly, all games were played in a positive and professional manner - well done boys!

As you know, here at #TeamOS we pride ourselves on looking good! And it is safe to say the teams lived up to expectations with their new kits for the forthcoming season. A special mention to our Club Partner, Lancashire Attack JFC repping their new Joma Campus II Anthracite (posh word for grey) tops in their first ever tournament. And reaching the quarter finals - good effort lads! And girl!

Everyone at #TeamOS played their part too. When a shortage of referees threatened the smooth running of the tournament, everyone mucked in. Managing Director Orrin Benford and newly hired apprentice Charlie Rowlings changed into their all blacks and delivered a Howard Webb like performance throughout the day, whilst academy coaches Liam Robinson & Jordan Cartwright and finance apprentice Jess Curtis provided a speed gun competition which brought plenty of laughs and entertainment. 69mph is still the high score for the summer... where shall we take the speed gun to hit 70mph?

Finally, a special mention must go to Liam Roberts of YMCA U10’s. An original of the OS Lytham Academy, Liam took the ball past a man and then rifled a shot from thirty yards into the top corner in the final of the competition. This turned out to be the winning goal and YMCA won the cup - get in ‘Robbo’!

All in all, another successful and enjoyable weekend for the Orange Soccer Community.
